King of Bengal

It’s been on my ‘art’ bucket list to do a huge Bengal tiger portrait for years and I finally got to it. The challenge of photo realism in a large painting is obviously greatly exaggerated, nothing can prepare an artist for the challenge except learning an eye for detail and a well practiced technique over 1000’s of hours as a professional painter. The satisfaction after completing this is hard to put into words. I can only hope it leaves the viewer of this huge original piece speechless too!
